Lola The Green Aardvark, located in the vibrant Amsterdam Oost, is just a short walk from the Tropenmuseum, Artis, and the famous Dappermarkt.
Known for its high-quality coffee, fine wines, craft beers, and creative cocktails, Lola pairs delicious drinks with flavorful bites. As the most welcoming LGBTQI+-friendly food bar in Amsterdam Oost, Lola boasts a stunning terrace overlooking the water, where you can enjoy drinks, small dishes, and tapas both indoors and outdoors.
There’s always something happening at Lola. Some of our events include:
- Pink Oost: the bi-monthly pink neighborhood gathering on Thursday evenings.
- The Queer Pub Quiz: a fun and challenging quiz night, held on the first Tuesday of every month.
Lola’s cozy and relaxed atmosphere makes every visit special. It’s the perfect place to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones.

The coffee is sourced from the best roasteries. We serve various fair trade teas as well as all kinds of special herbal teas and fresh mint and ginger tea.
Our beers include a selection of locally and European brewed beers, including popular craft Amsterdam lagers. Wines are specially selected for every occasion at Lola. Organic house wines play a prominent role in this selection.
Not to be forgotten, we serve delicious cocktails and mocktails made with much love. Additionally, a selection of “home-infused” spirits adds an entirely new and natural flavor.
Our menu features various bites from Flammkuchen to our Aardvark Mix of warm snacks made with love. We also serve a delicious assortment of bar bites and homemade soups.
Furthermore, we offer delightful cakes from Dappertutto and homemade apple strudel. The products are seasonal and as much as possible sourced from the local market.
Special attention is given to the zero waste principle and striving to be as carbon neutral as possible. The motto is sharing and enjoying.

Lola the Green Aardvark loves nature. The green and stunning terrace garden full of flowers is an oasis in our beautiful city of Amsterdam. A place where you can relax and absorb the scents and colors of flowers and plants. The sound of singing birds and the natural habitat of bees and butterflies are certainly encouraged here.
The winter terrace with heating and lighting will also serve to offer delicious homemade Glühwein and roasted chestnuts. A perfect place to meet old and new friends.
There is room for up to 85 guests and it is also available for private parties and events.
